Tuesday Treasures

This weeks Tuesday Treasure is one of the most cherished, loved and adored treasures I have. One I would take nothing in the world for and one that is treasured by many. It's my Princess!! I have treasured her since the day she was only a tiny tear in the corner of my eye and all the days since and all the days to come. Princess is having a tough time of it right now. If you read yesterday's post you understand why. Things did not go well at all today. Nothing has changed in my family at all. I know it came as a huge shock to them all to find out she is dating someone they do not approve of, and why I actually thought it may have changed is beyond me now. For I knew it hadn't.

My mother came as planned, never said anything hurtful to Princess and asked me to do the dirty work for her as she was crying. She was her usual self to Princess, for this I am thankful. What she wanted me to pass on to her broke my heart and broke Princess's as well. My family doesn't realize it but they have now ruined the relationship they had before today. I don't know if it can be healed. They are refusing to come to her Senior High Graduation on Thursday. They said they refuse to see her with someone they have no like or approval for and will not taint their eyes with it.

We are heart broken and angry. I politely (as much as possible) told my mother that if that was her and dad's choice that Princess is the exact same person she was a few days ago and that has not changed and if they want to miss out on a milestone in her life that will never happen again that is their choice, but a WRONG decision to make. I then asked her to think about it and pass it on to Dad. Then asked her to leave. Later this evening I received an email from my sister. It was a copy of what she sent Princess. Basically much the same as my mother said and also said she would "more than likely" not be coming either. For she too does not want to see Princess with HIM. I have now told her the same thing. Princess cried for a bit and then became angry. She told me she is not speaking to them and if they do not come she doesn't know if she will ever be able to forgive them. I can only hope and say many prayers that things work out and they can have a good loving relationship again.

OK, enough jabbering and whining. Here's my Tuesday Treasure in all her Senior Prom glory.

Can anyone tell me how that when you flip a picture how to keep it from making it look shorter? When I flip them it changes the way the picture looks and makes everything appear to be shorter and dumpier.

If anyone else would like to join in on Tuesday Treasures just make your post and put the link into Mr. Linky below. I would love to read what other's consider their treasures in life to be.

Absolutely stunning.

People make decisions for many reasons whether they are rational or not.

We can only determine what our behavior will be and let the rest go. If they choose not to attend, that is on them and you do not have to carry it around nor does Princess. Enjoy your day for you and yours.

She is sooo beautiful! I love that dress and that hair! Families can be so hurtful. I will never understand it.

Princess I would be there if I could. I am so proud of you! Hold your head high young lady.

Princess is completely gorgeous! She does know she's fabulous, right? I hope she understands that some families are just fucked up sometimes. But, we're changing that with our generation, right? I mean, can you imagine doing that to one of your grandbabies? Hell, no!

The buck of screwed up families stops here, baby! How about you?

I spent another entire day in the garden, trying to make sense of the mess I've made. I looked up at one point because of a sound and Felicia was standing about 5 feet away from me. She was as surprised as I was and we both fled in opposite directions. I think I should start wearing jingle bells, lol.

Love your blog. I'm in KC for two weeks because my 89 year old Mom fell again. It totally sucks.

My point is that things like this bring clarity to what is important. I have two boys and I just want them to find a nice girl who brings out the best in them. I don't care what color they are.

P.S. I'm also a huge conservative.
