Ok, back to the drawing board we go! I found a cut glass bowl that the wreath would fit onto. It looked really really bare. So outside I went once more. I cut some hot pink branches from a bush in our yard and thought I would add these to the pathetic looking bowl. (By the way, if anyone knows what this bush is please share with me. I have no earthly idea.) I added the pretty hot pink branches. Still needed more to it.
Next I shopped my house (that's so much fun to do) and found some hot pink Easter eggs and a pretty little ceramic birdhouse. So I started making my centerpiece. It turned out pretty cute I think. Let me know what you think about it?
The chest belonged to Trucker's grandmother and has been upstairs in a bedroom for years. I decided to use at as our coffee table and sanded it and re-stained it sometime back. I should have taken pictures of it, but that was before my blog. The baby doll quilt in the center was made for me by my Great Grandmother when I was about 2 years old. That makes it around 45 years or so old. I love it dearly.
Yes, that's still paint on my floor from the painting of our end tables. Someday (when I find the time) I will get that cleaned up.

Very pretty! I love all those branches! I have no idea what they are, but they are so pretty! If that doesn't get you in the mood for spring, I don't know what will!
What a pretty spring arrangement! It is so special to use the blanket chest and quilt as a coffee table, wonderful idea :)
