Making a Deal with Yourself

I've made a deal with myself that if I lose the much unwanted weight I have gained this past year I will go and buy myself all new clothes. I have let myself get so out of shape that it's not even funny anymore. Not that I have ever laughed about it to begin with. In this last year I have went from a size 12 to a size 16 and climbing. I have gone from 140 lbs to 186 lbs and climbing. Hell my pregnant sister in law weighs less than I do. This is not good for my sanity or my health. I am blogging about it because if I actually put it out for all the world to read maybe I will take it seriously. I must get back into shape. I must walk on the treadmill, I must start Pilate's again, I must refrain from eating so much chocolate. I must tell Trucker to quit telling me I look good when I know I don't and he does it only to make me feel better.

There is this one place I have been longingly looking at clothes now for quite some time. Never having bought the first thing from them yet but dreaming always about it. They have such beautiful things and I want them so bad. Here are a few I have been dreaming of. Let me know what you think? Like them or not?

Ohhhh so cute! I, too, need to get rid of about 20 pounds. But I'd be happy with 10 for starters. Good luck! I'll be on my treadmill, too.

Cute, cute dresses!

Yes, they say at our age we really NEED to exercise. If that's true, then why the hell is it so hard to do?

I would wear ANY one of those dresses. They are all great! Losing weight is so difficult. Gaining... so easy.

Love Love Love the dresses and I know all about gaining the weight and knowing you need to loose it but it is so damn hard. I have started the process also but I have alot to loose. A long Journey starts with the first step.

The dresses are lovely! I'm trying to find one to wear to my son's wedding in August.

Yeah, the weight thing is a constant battle. Here's what works somewhat for me: Taking a long walk outdoors every day, and using a small plate when eating meals. With a small plate, I automatically take smaller portions. Now, if only I could give up the snacking between meals......

Anyway, good luck. I have also found that if I quit the walking routine, my energy level falls and I have more aches and pains.

You will always weigh less than someone. You weigh less than me, for instance. You can do it, though. You know what to do. Just do it.

These dresses are ethereal. I love them.

I followed your answers in the Diva thing and have gotten to know you better. Sorry I don't visit so often. I'm bad that way.

I would like to send you a gift. You always leave such nice comments on my blog. And I would like to send you a picture. Do you like the rose on the latest post? Please e-mail me at katydid56@gmail.com.

You and me both. I'm making the same resolutions right.

The dresses are very pretty, but my favorite is the second from the bottom. (Get it, get it!)

Cute dresses! I'll be your cheerleader! It feels really good when you start losing the weight...I'm down 17 pounds since I got hurt in December. Remember to reward yourself when you reach one of your "baby step" goals. It'll keep you in the game and itching for more to come off. Keep us posted on your progress!

don't concentrate on the weight scale so much, your goal should be to lose fat, not weight.

and oh, omg, those are some beautiful dresses...
