The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY February 16, 2009....

Outside my window...It is overcast looking and cold. around 45 degrees

I am thinking...What a long day it's going to be since I didn't sleep well

I am thankful for...many things in my life. My family most of all.

From the kitchen...Not much is happening today. Not sure what I will be doing in there, except for dishes

I am wearing...My 2 piece pj set Princess got me for Valentine's day. It is long sleeved solid baby blue top with embroidered flowers in the upper left corner, and pj bottoms are covered in tiny navy blue polka dots and flowers.

I am creating...new summer flip flops for my Princess. I am tying multi colored ribbons around the top of each and placing one rhinestone in the center.

I am going...To early enroll Princess in college tomorrow night, grocery shopping this week and the library

I am reading...Nothing, that's why I am going to the library

I am hoping...I get the VA job online when I interview on Wed.

I am hearing...Princess clicking away at the keyboard in the other room.

Around the house...It's a disaster area since all 5 of us were here this weekend.

One of my favorite things...Is watching candlelight flicker in the dark.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Enroll Princess in college, do our taxes, buy my first plants for the garden, get my potting soil, plant my first few things. I am excited about this week.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Your PJ's sound so cute! Thankfully over here we don't have to do our taxes, it's all done automatically!

We're planning our garden, also. Honey Bear was checking the calendar yesterday, deciding when to set out seeds so they'd be ready to transplant to the garden at a certain time.

MM-I'll gladly share some of the productive activities with you my dear friend.

Maria-Oh how I wish our taxes were done over here as well. That would be so nice.

Evening-I can't wait to get my hands dirty too.

Jodi-Sometimes I think those pictures is the only reason I keep at it. LOL.

Love Bears All-I keep following the Farmer's Almanac to see when it's a good day for planting here.

Noe Noe-I'll happily post some pics for you when done. I can't wait to see the finished product myself.

Well, it looks like you have your week nicely planned out! I'm still in my robe and it's nearly 1:30 PM, lol.

I used to make all my daughter's hair bows & flip-flops, which I hadn't thought about in years. I used to wrap grosgrain ribbon around the straps then make a big fat bow to mount at the toes with a glue gun. They were so cute & so fun to make.

Have a great week!

I enjoyed your daybook. The flip flops sound cute. It's way too cold here to wear them, though!

I love your photos. I wish that I could begin buying plants but up here it is too cold and I have no place to keep them so I'll be waiting till mid to late May.

Thanks for sharing your day.
