The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...............March 16, 2009

Outside my window...The skies are cloudy and dark. It looks like rain may be coming again. God how I hope not.

I am thinking...about how quiet and still the morning is today. If not for the birds singing you could almost hear a pin drop. My kinda morning here.

I am thankful for...my new computer. It is making my life so much easier.

From the learning rooms...I have learned to never leave your seedlings uncovered when you have cats in the house! My beautiful turnips and tomatoes are now squashed into the soil.

From the kitchen...I see when I look over to the left, a dirty linoleum floor in need of vacuuming and mopping, cats gathered around the food bowls, and a sink full of dirty dishes. At the same time however I see bright, vibrant colors, beautiful birdhouses on display and a room I made my own.

I am wearing...My favorite gown t-shirt in black with a pink high heeled shoe on it depicting the words Glamorous, and a completely unmatched pair of pj bottoms. They are actually green with tiny little Santa's on them. LOL.

I am creating...a simple home life for my family. Learning to get back to the basics of life once more.

I am going...no where today. Staying home and inside working.

I am reading...Blood Brothers by Nora Roberts and it's so good.

I am hoping...that this weeks weather is much warmer than last weeks so I can get outside and enjoy it.

I am hearing...a few birds chirping, my dog Babycakes scratching, and the clock ticking.

Around the house...there's much work to be done. However it's a home like no other. Warm and comfortable to be in. Very lived in I might add.

One of my favorite things...napping, since I don't sleep well at night. Maybe I am part vampire as well as Irish? Gee wonder what that would make me?

A few plans for the rest of the week: Finish my last two articles, apply for more jobs on Odesk, and interview for a couple more. Clean house, buy groceries and chill out and enjoy being alone.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...
