Meet Jason, The Bachelor. Who I figure will remain a bachelor for some time to come. I hope he remains a bachelor for the remainder of his days. Yes, I am that harsh.
Now meet Melissa. The Bachelorette who became engaged on the final episode. Who also became a dumpee in the Final After Rose show. Meet Melissa the one who stole Jason's heart, the one who should now be stomping on it.
Meet Molly. The one who was dumped at the Final Rose Ceremony. Meet Molly, the one Jason can't quit thinking about. Meet Molly, the one Jason then turned around and dumped Melissa for. Meet Molly, the one Jason "cant' get enough of her eyes, he gets lost in them". Anyone notice that he told BOTH of them this at the very end. He looked BOTH of them in these eyes at the final decision making and said the same damn thing.
I'm talking about last nights final episode of "The Bachelor". I was shocked to see how it ended last night. Shocked and angry actually. Angry, not because of how it ended, or who he chose, but in the fact that he dumped her with no warning on national TV. Oh I know what your thinking, she knew this when she signed up. Well OK she might have and did, but the fact remains she knew this could happen if she was not chosen at the end, to which I am sure she had prepared for. But for it to happen after getting her engagement ring and dating then for 6 weeks or more for it to happen is a whole different ballgame in my book. Did she expect this? From the look on her face I would have to say "hell no" she didn't expect it. In my heart Jason lost all respect I had for him at that moment. He could have warned her before hand and discussed it with her, heck even over the phone would have been better than that. I just wonder if she can sue him or ABC for damages? Hmmmm makes you wonder?
I wanted Melissa to win from almost the beginning of the show. She was my second favorite of them all. I also understand and can only imagine that when the show ends, taping stops and you get back to the real world it's all completely different I am sure. No more extremely fancy dates in exotic places, no more helicopter rides, and the whole shebang. This I'm sure makes you engagement more of a reality check than anything they have experienced thus far. To return to the "real world" after dating this way is tough. This is when you really learn about the person you've committed to spend the rest of your life with. So I am quite sure things changed.
I do give credit to Jason for not stringing her along any further. It's just the way the "dumper" took care of business that really bothers me. Was he paid extra for doing it this way? He could have even lied to her to make it better. But NO, he came right out and said "I can't get Molly out of my mind and I want her". Give me a break here. Not only dump her but rub it in her face that he believes he loves someone else. Jesus I don't think the man knows what or whom he loves.
OK, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am not watching anymore episodes after this season. I will watch the "Final, Final After Rose" which airs tonight again on ABC at 9:00 pm CST. Then I'm done once and for all.

OH MY GOSH! I was absolutely in shock...I dont normally get emotionally charged up or vested in Reality TV shows, but last nights results totally blew my socks off. I too was a fan of Melissa. I appreciate your post. What a ride.
I have read that this was set up by the shows producers to create more drama, than an acutal true love story that the country could possibly use right now...that is the sad and "sick" part.
Jason was under contract and possibly had few alternatives then to follow what the story line wanted...possibly why he was so conflicted after he told Molly that she was not the first choice.
It has also been rumored that he and Mi=olly had still been seeing each other on the weekends that he was not with Melissa.
The show needs to die now...what is it going to take...one of these poor niave girls to commit suicide due to a decision made by money and ratings over what someone truly belives in their heart?
I personally believe that all three of them were the victims of circumstance and all need to sue the show.
They lost me as a fan and anyone who chooses to go on that show from here on out needs serious therapy in my eyes.
I used to love this show but it mad me mad so I quit watching a few seasons ago.
I'm with you...Jason should never ever marry anyone. Jason has issues and God only knows what they are. Remember, there was Deanna before Melissa!
I really, really wanted Molly to tell him to go to hell.
I think it was all scripted. I will never watch again. And that Jason needs some acting lessons.
I didn't see the show....I'm with Little Toes on that one.....they make me a little hostile. And with all of these raging menopausal hormones going on that ain't so good!!
But hey anyway, I digress as usual. I did see him on a couple of talk shows this morning and I thought he was a creep.
Ditto to what you said........I hope he remains a bachelor for the rest of his born days and never finds a woman with self esteem loe enough to be treated so!!
I feel better now :)

I have never watched the show as I do not think you can find love this way- sigh- but I did see all the talk about it this morning on the news- what better way to get ratings?? he said he was not allowed to break up with her off camera so that make me think this was a set up - sigh-
and here I am ''shouting to you ''just like you asked us too-LOL

I only seen bits and pieces of this seasons show, but I did catch the very last segment you are talking about! Half way through, I was fed up and couldn't watch anymore! This show is History in my TV viewing! And yes Jason is an A>> Hole! And to think he is still raising his son! I don't even care if it was set up...this show SUCKS!
I've never seen this show. Sounds like it would make me mad, too.
