FOR TODAY March 2, 2009Outside my window...from my desk I see leaves
which need raking, half melted snow making huge wet backyard and the birds begging for feed at the empty feeders.
I am thinking...of how much I have to do today. Grocery shopping, coupon gathering, finish the final touches on the articles I have been writing and send them, clean house and lots of laundry to do. It never ends around here.
I am thankful for...the fact that I am home to do those things and not having to go punch a time clock somewhere. Being able to work at home is a dream come true.
From the kitchen...I smell the coffee. I have a stack of dirty dishes calling my name which I am ignoring for the time being.
I am wearing...Yes, still in pj's as I just woke up about one hour ago. They are comfortable and ugly to behold.
I am creating...An indoor seed starting area, a table full of crafts I'm working on and a huge mess.
I am going...out and about later today to fill RX, buy groceries and pay the never ending bills.
I am reading...Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bon's and enjoying it. Also looking forward to the receiving the Nora Roberts trilogy I just ordered.
I am hoping...The snow is completely melted by this evening.
I am hearing...Nothing but the sound of myself clicking away on the keyboard. It's a lovely sound too.
Around the house...Well as mentioned it's a complete mess. Much to do unfortunately.
One of my favorite things...Is watching the birds at the feeder and the squirrels scampering around.
A few plans for the rest of the week........Write more and more articles, apply for some more writing jobs and get my crafty things done.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...Meet my new muse! Her name is Ms. Georgetta O. Possum and she resides on top of my computer monitor. Trucker bought her for me while at Cracker Barrel on Friday night and said I needed a non meowing companion to keep me company and stare at me all day to remind me to work. LOL. He first named her George since George Jones nickname is Possum, but I wanted a girl. Isn't she about the cutest little thing? LOL.

I can honestly say I have never received a possum as a gift although I have had one as a pet.
Every time I come to your blog I smile :)
And you'll never believe this!!!! I have that very same possum sitting on my hearth girl!!! No kidding. I will have to post a picture of it tomorrow when I do my weekly Newnan tour post.
Please drop by for a little visit to see the Newnan possum as a tribute to you and your lovely blog :)

My son would LOVE your possum! I always thought they were slightly disconcerting, but yours doesn't look to frightful : ).
I saw your link at Grandma J's and came over to say hi.
I also always have a pile of dishes in the sink. They never go away. Ever. I can't think about them!
what a cute new pet you have there.I have left you and award at my blog.
IDK, your new friend unsettles me a bit. Maybe it's the pink tail? If I ever visit your house, I'll just close my eyes when we walk by your computer, okay?
I'm jealous!
But not of the critter!
Love the possum! Have a great week!
Hugs,
